This topic demonstrates how to add a panel addon to Flight Simulator 2004 using Addit! Pro For Flight Simulator 2004 by working step-by-step through the installation of an actual, downloadable third-party addon.
Our aircraft addon is called Boeing 707 Panel by Chris Alevritis. Download the 8.2 MB zip file to a folder called Addons on your C: drive, if you wish to match-up perfectly with this walkthrough:
Download from:
Flightsim.com (http://www.flightsim.com/
- requires login - search for FS2004 Boeing 707 Panel)
or
ByteForge.com (http://www.byteforge.com/products/ap_fs2004/support/walkthroughs/install_panel_addon_simple/ca707pnl.zip)
Begin by opening Addit! Pro. Pull down the File menu as shown below then select Install an Addon:

After the Addon Installation Wizard window appears, press Select Addon Files:

When the Select Addon Files window appears, locate ca707pnl.zip (the file you downloaded above). Select only this zip file. Make sure all of the files inside the zip file are selected in the Zip File list, as shown below. Press OK:

Back on the Addon Installation Wizard window, all colored indicators are either green or yellow so it is safe to press Finish at this point. Doing so will install the addon using the default configuration. Press Finish to complete the installation:

Use Addit! Pro's Edit Aircraft window to assign the panel to the Boeing 747-400. If you have a proper Boeing 707 aircraft, use it instead. Press the Edit Aircraft button on Addit! Pro's button bar. When the Edit Aircraft window appears, position to the Boeing 747-400. Right click and pick "Change Panel...":

When the Select Panel window appears, locate the FS2004 707 panel as shown below and select it. Press Select:

Finally, start Flight Simulator 2004 and select the Boeing 747-400 aircraft and enjoy flying with your new panel!
