OttoCore Inc., Travel tech, 2026
Travel agencies book, get paid and close the month on one platform.
OttoCore Inc. set out to replace the separate booking, CRM, accounting, payment and portal tools that travel agencies, tour operators and corporate travel desks maintain. We built the whole platform in eight months, so an agency books, invoices, pays its agents and closes the month in one product under its own brand.

Context
OttoCore Inc. builds software for the businesses that move travelers: travel agencies, destination management companies, tour operators and corporate travel desks. These businesses typically run a global distribution system for flights, a separate hotel wholesaler, a CRM, accounting software and a branded booking portal. Each tool has its own login, its own invoice and its own copy of the booking. OttoCore’s aim was to replace that stack with one operating platform.
The cost of that stack falls on margin and on staff time. Global distribution systems charge a fee on every flight segment, and onboarding a new agency onto one takes four to six weeks. Agents reconcile bookings against the CRM by hand and calculate commissions in spreadsheets at month end. Transfers, insurance, eSIM and activities often go unsold because each one needs another supplier.
The platform had to carry money as well as bookings. Agencies prefund a business-to-business wallet, corporate clients pay through programmable cards and every transaction has to reconcile against its booking. Each agency needed a branded portal at its own domain, multi-currency checkout and right-to-left language support, with sub-offices rolling up to a master account. The goal was to take an agency from signed contract to first booking within a day.
What we built
We built OttoCore as one multi-tenant platform with four parts: a booking engine, a back office, payments and a white-label portal. The booking engine prices flights directly through airline NDC connections, without a per-segment distribution fee, alongside hotels, transfers, car rental, insurance, activities, eSIM, visas and cruises. An agent quotes a multi-day package across these categories in one search and sends it as one branded PDF. Supplier and payment connections include Amadeus NDC, Sabre, Viator, Rentalcars, Airalo, Cover-More, Stripe and Worldline.
The back office replaces the CRM, the accounting software and the commission spreadsheets. Each agent has a flat, percentage or tiered commission rule, and every booking posts against it, so the month-end statement generates itself. Sub-offices keep their own agents, invoices and profit and loss, and roll up to the master account. Payments run through the prefunded wallet and programmable virtual cards with per-trip spend limits, and each card transaction reconciles against its booking.
Each agency’s clients book on a white-label portal at the agency’s own domain, with the agency’s logo on every invoice and OttoCore invisible. The portal supports multi-currency checkout and right-to-left languages. OttoAI optimizes hotel markup and assists the know-your-customer and know-your-business checks that open each account.
How it was delivered
The engagement ran from February to October 2026. It opened with a consultation on OttoCore’s product scope, suppliers, payment flows and the controls that moving money requires. An architecture review then fixed the design, scope and price in writing. A named delivery lead reported to OttoCore’s leadership at scheduled steering reviews throughout the build.
One decision shaped the architecture: every booking, wallet movement, card transaction and commission is an event on Kafka. Accounting, reconciliation and reporting all read from that single record, so the books always match the bookings. PostgreSQL holds each agency’s data, and Python services carry the pricing and verification models behind OttoAI. Each portal is served through Cloudflare at the agency’s own domain, which lets a new portal go live within hours of signing.
Outcome
The platform was completed in October 2026, eight months after the first consultation. Agencies sign up through a seven-day trial and choose from four tiers, from a single consultant to an enterprise tour operator. The onboarding sequence takes an agency from signed contract through wallet funding, verification and a live branded portal to its first booking, a path designed to complete within a day.
OttoCore operates the platform and owns its code, data and models. A moving agency can keep its distribution system running in parallel for 30 to 60 days while its agents move across. The next phase in scope is OttoEvents, which builds flights, hotels, transfers, visas and activities around an anchor event such as a conference or a wedding.
